On Saturday, May 31, youth from Manara Youth Center’s spiritual program gathered at Dar El Awlad for a Holy Spirit Day. As part of the Alpha curriculum, this special event focused on introducing young people to who the Holy Spirit is and what it means to live a Spirit-filled life. (The Alpha curriculum introduces young people to the core truths of the Christian faith.)
The day was filled with energy, curiosity, and heartfelt moments. The first session tackled the question, “Who is the Holy Spirit?” through a short video and shared testimonies. Then, the youth engaged in open discussion. The second session shifted focus toward healing and encountering the Holy Spirit through worship and prayer. The group entered a shared time of worship, intentionally opening their hearts to God’s presence.

One such heart was that of a girl who came up and prayed with a youth leader, right after the worship time, asking Christ to reign over her heart. Her journey at the center had begun during our relief efforts late 2024, where seeds were planted. Over time, she was drawn in by the atmosphere with a hunger to understand more. Her questions were deep, and her interest genuine. The girl will be part of the center’s core discipleship groups and will also be personally followed up with by a youth worker.
For many of the youth, this was their first time participating in a spiritual retreat of this kind. Whether they were believers or still exploring faith, the day created space for authentic encounters with God. We pray that youth left feeling more connected to one another, and more importantly, to God.

Thank you for praying for our youth as they continue this journey towards Christ.
