“We have to be at the center of the protests as a church, as groups of faith, reaching the needy, the deprived, and all those treated unjustly. We have to follow Jesus’ example and reflect Him in our surroundings, even amidst protests.”
This is one of many thought-provoking reflections shared by youth who attended our “Let’s talk Lebanon“ forum last Saturday. It was an evening of dialogue for youth ages 15-19 that YFC co-hosted with Arab Baptist Theological Seminary Beirut in an effort to create a safe space for them to express their ideas, concerns, and fears with regard to what is happening in their country. We hope this is the beginning of what we would like to see become a series of dialogues with youth regarding events that are shaping their worldview.
