Jana’s Story with God
When Jana first heard about a summer camp organized by YFC Lebanon in 2023, she wasn’t expecting much. “I thought the experience would be boring,” she admits, “Plus, I didn’t know anyone.” But everything changed at Ta3 Nehlam (“Let’s Dream Together”) camp. From the creative activities to the warm atmosphere, the experience surprised her in the best way.
“Things were different at YFC.”
After the camp, Jana began attending Ignite Worship Nights. “The first time, I was in tears. I felt God’s presence among us,” she recalls. At her second Ignite, she learned about YFC’s discipleship groups and signed up. Since then, she’s been part of our school ministry discipleship program, growing in her faith week after week:

“In all honesty, I didn’t find a place where people cared for me deeply like I do here.” Jana also went through a long stretch of not having close friends. “I don’t remember ever being alone at a YFC gathering where someone didn’t come and sit beside me.”
“I want people to see God’s fingerprints in my life.”

Jana grew up in a Christian home, but her relationship with God didn’t feel personal until she got involved with YFC. “For a while, the Bible had seemed like no more than stories. God was distant and far from sight,” she says. “At YFC, I truly got to know God on a personal level. Every time I go to a YFC event, I feel touched by a story or testimony. I feel the life-changing power of the Gospel.”
Now, Jana wants to influence others the way she’s been influenced. “I want people to see God’s fingerprints in my life when I share my story.” She aspires to be a leader to make a positive difference in people’s lives. “Even now, I can be a leader where I am. Whatever opportunity the Lord places my way, I’m ready.”
It’s great news that Jana’s life is being shaped by the truth that God is not distant or silent, but near and active, speaking through people and experiences to draw her closer. And though she’s still young, Jana desires to let Christ’s light shine through her life. In her words, “This is just the beginning of my story with God.” Let us lift her in prayer as she gets ready for whatever He writes next.
