Youth at Risk

The Bekaa Youth at Risk Ministry reaches at-risk youth (11-19 years old) residing in the Bekaa Valley with the Gospel message and assists them spiritually, emotionally, intellectually, and physically. For that purpose, the ministry:

-Utilizes sports, skill set development (sewing, arts, crafts), non-formal education programs, and special events.

-Builds relationships with families of the youth we serve by visiting them in their homes (tents) and praying for them upon request.

"I love football, so I wait for opportunities to receive training. I started from zero. I used to learn alone, so I didn’t know whether I was doing things right or wrong. When I came here, I progressed quickly because I focused on improving. I like that I get to spend more time with my friends from school and church here. We have a lot of fun together. I also like having conversations with Dimitri [one of our staff]. They are helping people see Jesus more and lessen conflicts. In other football places, cigarettes and hookahs are normal. But here, they are not allowed. Cussing is not allowed, either. This makes me feel comfortable. Life is more beautiful here."
